Gluhwein is a delicious blend of red wine and spices traditoinally served hot. Gluhwein is the German name for mulled wine. The quality red wine is infused with a unique blend of cinnamon, cloves, oranges, lemons and a dash of sugar. After half a century of creating Gluhwein, vintner Franz Stettner has perfected the combination of spices and remains a closely guarded secret recipe.
Christkindl Gluhwein is ready to drink, requiring only gentle heating before serving to bring a cheerful warm glow and bonhomie. The ideal serving temperature is 65C and is the perfect winter drink in around the festive Christmas period and Halloween.
The combination of wine and spices ensures a warm and cheerful experience when shopping or out walking and is traditionally served with iced ginger biscuits (lebkuchen).
